Ignition switch chime

Of late Ol' Faithful (that would be my 01 7.3LPSD) has decided that it would be fun (it's annoying to me) to activate the chime even though my key is not in the lock. If I wiggle the switch just so, or stand on my head and look backwards out the front window it generally stops. I close the truck, come back a few hours later and the moment I open the door, there's the chime. It's beginning to bug me. any clues would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can just delete the dumb chime, that way you will no longer need it.
Heres a link.

I did the door dinger delete as my first "mod" and I use that term loosely. it was very easy and took only about 10 minutes and most of that was trying to get the ignition switch cylinder out. I used electrical tape over the contact in case I decide to undo it one day.

Finally got 'round to it' the other day. Stupido ! Why didn't I do this a long time ago. The wire practically fell out, no need to remove the Cylinder lock. Thanks to all for your help.
