Well after waiting 2 months I finally got an answer about Ford fixing my cracked drivers door.since it is out of base warr. Ford does not feel it is their problem. so here I sit with a truck with 57000 miles and a cracked door.I even mentioned the tib but as the ford cust.service rep.pointed out it only applies to trucks still under the 3/36 warr.

i have been searching various F150 forums & message boards to see if anyone else was having this same problem. finally i have found someone who is!
we recently had our truck into the ford dealership for this same problem. but we had cracks in both the drivers & passenger doors. they fixed the problem & supposedly put in some metal peices inside the door to help strengthen that area.. well after less then 6 months they are doing it again.
our ford dealer's body shop said they had known of the problem, but that our truck was the first that they were to do. i guess that ford has a service bulletin on how to repair the area & to use the metal peices i mentioned above.
now since its doing it again i'm wondering if it will ever stop, or if we'll have to have these 2 doors fixed & painted every 6 months:-X23
ive head all this talk about door cracks. what does it mean. then four days ago after shutting my door, i saw it. a crack just an inch above my handle. could it be true... i wonderend.. then after remeembering the rust on the inside of my door, it dawned on me this was true. i wax my truck inside and out. the rust from the inside is, maybe a fault in the outside. im, without doubtt, requesting a new door. i take care of this truck i have no doubt ford will take care of me.:-)
