Serious question about 2'' spring seperator

Hey guys, I have a serious question about a 2'' lift for my front end.

I was in Advanced Auto earlier, and I saw a rubber thing that goes between my spring coils. 2 for each coil. I don't know much about suspension, but I knew you guys would. I'm thinking if I put this on, would it hurt my alignment? If so, how much? Will this eat up my tires? If so, how badly? If deemed a stupid idea, what would be a better way to lift my front end just a few inches? I'm on a real tight budget and the product I mentioned was only about 6 bucks, which is why I'm tempted.

I would love to level out Ole' Betsy, but I don't want to hurt any preformance. It seems too easy and too good to be true, so I thought i'd ask ya'll if it was a good idea or a bad idea. I already have 2'' rubber lifters the springs sit on on the front end. I don't know if that would make any difference.. but anyway, thanks much in advance for your imput!

They hurt ride and to a certain extent handling. In general I'd say stay away. Lots of guys use them though.

A gimmick more properly reserved for cars, like Buick Roadmasters station wagons with sagging springs. They have no business on a truck imo. Yes. I know some "companies" offer spacers in their "lift" kits. Doesn't make it right.

I got those and there's absolutely no lift to them! They thread in between the coils and basically just keep that coil from compressing. Don't waste your money....
