Steering problem

I have a 69 Bronco with power stearing, has 3.5 lift, new ball joints and C bushings, drop basket, a adjustable drag link. When I turn left sometimes my power steering squels and feels like I lost the power part of power steering for just a moment. When I staighten out the wheel sticks to the left pulling hard to the left until I turn to the right at which time it "pops" loose and then drive fine again.( it feels like something is catching or binding) I put a 4 inch drop pitman arm and a steering stabilizer on and it stopped this for a while but it is starting to reappear. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Steering box? Can I adjust drag link to take out this "periodic binding"? Any help is appreciated.

Steering problem

knock the drag link off the pitman arm and then try it. if it still does it, then you know it is the box. if it does not do it then you know to keep going. something else you might check is the axel joints. have seen the axel joints freezing up and causing something like you are describeing.
