Boggin Bronco
Took the Bronco out boggin this weekend. The place was called Gibson's Hog and Bog. I faired pretty good. The only carnage was one of my dual exhaust tailpipes is hanging lower than before. It got tweaked a little bit after going over some bumps pretty rough. I think I might have gotten some air too as the one landing was pretty rough. TTB held up great, couldn't be happier with it. Bronco's sure are tough trucks. It took everything I could dish out and kept going. Then I drove it home at 70mph covered in mud.
Cleaned the wheels and brakes out first though. Just so you know I run a 1995 bronco w/ 302, E40D, 3.55 gears, manual shift 1356, rear Limited slip, 31's. It only got stuck once. I found out some stuff though. I need pull points and some 33 inch mud terrains. The old, bald all terrains did just fine but I want a little more performance. I did use 4-lo and 2nd gear. Gave me more than enough power and plenty of wheel spin. Does anyone know where to get a good hitch for the rear with a D-ring shackle, front tow hook tips, and tire suggestions would be great too. I am keeping the 31's for on the street. I am only going to run the 33's in the mud when I get to the pit and change them back before I leave. So I will need rims also. I don't want to run boggers because I don't believe I have the power to turn them. Keep in mind this truck is my DD. Also used stuff is fine with me as I am a college student and have a low income. Thanks for the help guys with the tire pressure tips as that made a difference also. Thanks,

For your rear reciever, plenty of places have them, and they run about $100.00. D-ring shackles mounts can be made / bought to just slip right into the reciever itself. I run one up front, and one in the rear. PLent strong, and the 3 1/2" shackle fits my big old six inch strap. As for the front of your rig, you could try what I did. I made hitch that I modified to fit behind the front bumper and exits from behind the front license plate. I remove the plate for off-roading and instert the shackle mount into the front reciever. Loks good, and came out clean, but it also gives me decent access up high. Really helps when everything is under the mud.
