Bucket seats
Thanks
First off WELCOME to the 61-66 Forum here @ the FTE WebSite
1962's did not come OEM with buckets but there were some SVOs sold with Buckets and they used the Fairlane-Comet- Falcon & eventually Mustang type buckets from 63-1/2 thru' 67-68. There's a post here on FTE of a 63 Integral bed F-100 with a 427 & a bucket seat interior Built for FoMoCo by Detroit Steel Tubing and DST used the seats I am talking about.
Buckets are fairly easy to install, but getting them Stable & Durably Strong is something else. You must use an ample bearing plate/washer to retain seats on impact so they do not rip out or break loose inside the cabin area of the vehicle in a wreck or collision event.
Also you can use any one of a number of FoMoCo truck bench seats from Split Back & tilt back to a regular bench, or bench with armrest, etc. from 61 thru 95 by using the seat tracks from a 73-79 style std bench seat.
FWIW Newer seats & seats from F-Series Rangers, Lariats, XLTs & some Broncoes are the most comfortable especially compared to the std seats through 73-74 or such.

The same seats, tracks (C5ZZ-6561704/5-F) and console were available thru 1972. 1965/72 pickups also requires four brackets 2 right, 2 left to raise the seats.
However, the 1961/64 F100/350's have a different floor pan than the 1965/66's do, so there might be additional parts needed, to use the Mustang seats in the earlier pre 1965 pickups. The Ranger Package was not available on 1965/66 F350's, which used the older 1961/64 floor pan.
Caveat Emptor: The early Mustang bucket seats are low back, have very little padding, used vinyl only, and are hard as a rock. The shape of the cushions isn't too good if you are over 6 feet tall. You'd be better off looking for something more modern.
