I found today that the bracket on the Passenger Side spring mount that connects the track bar has broken off. I'm trying to determine exactly what this bracket is called and a part number. Is this the "Spring Cap"? The "Track Bar Bracket" is the piece bolted to the frame, is it not? Unfortunately, my manual does not show this pictured and labeled clearly. Need to get some parts ordered. TIA.
Yes. That is my thought right now. But I got snagged because I need a 30mm or 1-3/16" socket and wrench to get the track bar end off. Will pick one up tomorrow. Not a size I have laying around. Thanks. Still don't know what that bracket is called though.
I don't know what it's official term is, but if you tell the dealer that you are looking for the lower trac-bar bracket, or lower panhard bar bracket, they will most likely knwo what you are looking for. Also, unless you gusset the weld with some form of additional reinforcement, I would NOT reccomend welding it. Any frame work or suspension work that is performed as a repair by a pro shop almose always has additional steel put in for strength.
What year / model is your truck? If you provide this info, it would be easier to help you with a part number.

Sorry, my CP is not allowing me to enter a signiture. Anyway:
1999.5, F350, DRW, 4.10's, 4x4, Trans Slippin and on the way out, CC, LB, DP Tuner F5, TN Turbo, Tubro Master WG Controller, 4" MBRP turbo back, AFE-2, HPX, MagnaFuel Reg Return & homemade fuel system, FASS 150, Racor Fuel/Water, Racor By-pass, boost reg, Snow stage 2, HPOS, SPA guages, CCV filtered return, fuel line cooler.
I went out and checked my 02, since it sould have the same setup. It looks as though the lower mount is in fact welded to the lower portion of the axle, and if yours is broken, welding is in fact the only repair option short of replacement. Where is yours broken, is it in the mount, or at the joint where the mount joins the rest of the lower bracket? There is a factory weld joint that looks like it might be susceptible to breakage, and this joint looks easily and safely repairable. If the weld is not at a factory joint, I would say this part is not repairable, and you need to look for a donor axle to cut an intact replacement off of. I doubt this part is availible from ford as a stand alone item.
That would be the lower track bar bracket. Here one that met a similar fate:
Yeah, that's the one Marty. Thanks. I'm tearing it off tonight and will try a weld job. If needed, any aftermarket lower track bar brackets or do I have to get it from Ford?
