Lets not forget - Memorial Day

Let us take this time to remember all members of the military - past & present and especially to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Please give your thoughts.

I heard that.

I was listening to talk radio for a wile this morning and had to turn it off when the host greeted every called with "Happy Memorial Day"

That to me is like going to a funeral and congratulating the bereaved.

I just called my father this evening and thanked him for his service (WWII). He made it back but many didn't.

Isnt that about the truth!?! I constantly have to remind people that there is nothing happy about Memorial Day, that its a day of rememberance to those that never made it home. My hat is off to those that have fallen and to their families. We will never forget!

i kept it quiet today, as usual, but watching the war movies on the background and also went through and looked at my military stuff i had stored also.

wife cooked a big meal.

i just do not like the fact how everything is open around and it is marketed as a shopping holiday, i understand stores just being open maybe, but no need for the memorial day sale stuff.

I have to admit I did take advantage of Lowe's giving 10% off to military members.

Just about everything here was open except the liquor stores and banks.

well, giving a percent off to military is different to me, i was just talking about the blanket sales as if memorial day is the 4th of july or something to celebrate like a birthday.

or maybe if they just approached it differently or something on the sales instead making memorial day seem like yet another shopping holiday.

but it is probably different in different regions of the country.

it made me sick to think that all of the terrorists over in iraq, had nothing to do but plan on killing as many troops as they could yesterday(10 parished).

deffinately much props to all of those that have served and are currently serving.

watched a little band of brothers
