Will this work?
My neighbor has a 72 chevy 2wd 1/2 ton rolling frame with complete IFS and rear end that he's trying to give away. Does anyone know if it would be possible to weld that front clip onto my 54 f100? If not, I'll keep lookin' for a camaro front end.

I'm using a 72 c10 frame under my 56 panel and seems to be working out fine but I am still about a few light years from completion. By using the complete frame I had to raise the floor in back about 3 1/2 inches. The truck sitting on the stock chevy suspension will only need to be lowered about 3 inches to just tuck the top of the wheel in the wheel well.

I've seen these front suspensions used under older Chevy pickups but not under a Ford. I don't see why it would not work, however. My reservation in using the truck suspension would be whether or not it would sit low enough (because even under the old Chevy pickups it's still a little high), and it would still basically ride like a truck. I'd keep looking for the Camaro suspension...

As GreatNothWoods mentioned the frame is higher, so your motor will sit higher as well. I had to make a transmission tunnel cover for my panel and lift the cab up by the thickness of a hockey puck. My decision was made by economics at the time that will probably cost me the same either way, hind sight.
