Sorta.
The Ol’ Panel has been sittin’ under the Carport while I’ve wrestled with my health problems. I’ve managed to get to the point where I’m good enough to start doin’ some work.
This one is part way out, I was having a little problem with the clearence for the roof.
Too much Castor? She still rolls with the Drunkin’ Monkey Wobble.
And just how do you steer that thing?
Just like the Wright Bros. Wing Warp
How did you get it in there to begin with?! What are your plans for the panel?
My Wife tells me that I let the air out of the tires and backed her in. I had to let the air out of the rears to get hr out, front was laying on the engine lift.
The panel will look Bone Stock except for the Required Rake of a Hotrod. It will have a mostly Rubber Rake.
As for the drive train, a warmed up Flatmotor, Stock Tranny with modified gears, hopefully an OD, and a 3.50/25 rearend.
Paint will be something that doesn't require much if any upkeep.
You guys and gals are doing great, time for me to get back to the 53 M100 body with the 56 frame and running gear-272/3 speed.
The 53 is being put together from parts left over from my 56 M100 and the cab from a 53 M350.
In the amount of time I spent here I've seen what I thought was just about every modification you could do to one of these old trucks. I've see Jag suspension, MOPAR torsion bars, Dana 60's front and rear, Mustang II's, countless variety of GM independant fronts, and a whole host of Ford independent front suspensions but I think this has to be a first time I've ever seen a synchopated independently adjustable, fully galvanized self centering front suspension like yours.
The panel should have a great rake to it with your combination of big and littles. And I bet you if you backup really fast you couyld do some wicked 180's....
Glad to hear that you were able to get out and there and mess with it some
Bobby
I saw your original post but couldn't think up anything witty to say.
I was able to work on my panel last week a little, got the charging system charging. This last weekend I planned to dedicate to the panel, with observing local Memorial Day events Monday. Didn't work out like I hoped. Between the wife and kids they had enought to keep me busy. Maybe next weekend.
