How much paint
I am painting my my 86 f250 super cab. The colors are two tone blue and white. That is blue with a think white stripe down the side and white on the roof. I am using an acrylic enamel paint comparable to dupoint centari. I am using the mixing ratio of 8:1:2. That's 8 parts of the AE, 1 part of hardener, and 2 parts of urathane reducer. My question is how many gallons of each paint will i need using an HPLV gun?

Sounds like the blue and white colors are about equal area....?
I'd estimate you could easily paint that truck with about 3 quarts of each color, so 1 gallon of each should be plenty.
The hardener will contain isocyanates, which you don't want to breath under any circumstances, so be very careful with it.

i would say they are close to equal...a little more blue...but since you guessed three quarts, that extra quart to the gallon of paint should do it. I appreciate the advice and will be sure to be careful. What type of cartridge should i use for my mask?

I don't think there is a cartridge that can truly block isocyanates which is why most of the time fresh air systems are recommended. Also need to protect the eyes since they have mucous membranes that can absorb isocyanates.
