'03 7.3l 4x4 w/ engine surging
Hello.....I've been have this issue for a few months now, just have not had time to take it to the dealer. With this surging at idle and driving my lights also go bright/dim constantly. Has anybody else experience this? In the past 6 months or so I have replaced the alternator and both batteries.
Also last night for the first time the battery light came on and flashed for around 5 miles and then went off. Any help would be great. Thank You!

Check all the battery connections, including the starter solenoid and starter. Check the grounds too.

Thank You Cuda........I'm assuming checking those connections is for the battery light flashing? I'll check those out!
As far as the surging, mine is not specific to rpm and does not effect the driving it still runs like a bat out of hell. At idle you notice the sound in engine, I call it a surging but it is a little rpm change and it makes all the lights bright/dim which is extremely annoying and while I'm driving at night you can see the head lights bright/dim. Thank you for your help! Todd
