From what I have read only series three XJ6 jag's will fit. Series three ended in 1986. Since it's only what I have read, I would measure every angle, etc. to confirm a yes or no, since I see you have the jag. Run a search at the top of the page or look through past threads as there are many threads on this subject. Lets us know what you find. Have a great day, chuck

My guess is that yes it would work. I beliee the XJ-6 and the XJ-12 used the same IFS and IRS. The only difference was the spring stiffness which of course woulod ahve been higher on the XJ-12. As suggeted, measure it before you cut the deal. You have a 54 so your frame will be slightly wider than what the JAG IFS will accomodate but you can either nothc the truck frame or the JAG IFS to make it fit.
That Jag looks like a series III to me. The Xj6 I took my front end from looked like that. The next model, the xj40, was a slightly different body style, so I'd say that the 1988 year is incorrect, or they didn't switch the models at the same time in Norway. Since the Xjs V12 was available until '90 (I think) and has a series III chassis, I'd say that would be a good donor. The V12 was a heavier motor than the I6, the front springs are stiffer, and the sway bar is larger in diameter.
