I want to cut the cat converters off my 2001 f250 5.4L. Someone told me that I would loe back pressure and it would not run good. Is that correct? If I do this I will need to replace the sensors or my ck eng light will come on. Where do you get the dummy sensors?
If you cut off the 4 cats you should at least run 2 high flow cats!
That's what I did. Then you can just put the O2s back in place.
By taking off all 4 it might affect you bottom end power some.
If that's the way you must go you can get the MIL eliminators here. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=+115&y=8&x=37
Look, the factory cat is hard to beat. To get a comparable match in flow and performance from an aftermarket high flow, would cost you. The oversize models do not have rear O2s, they use a single monster converter that is not monitored. However, its flow capablities are incredible, and most aftermarket replacements for this unit are inferior. You already have the best, so leave it alone. Thats why you bought a Ford.
