I still think the best way to check an injector is to remove it and bench test it. It certainly is the most definitive.

 

My 07 6.0L, 160800kms is doing that to me. does that mean bad injectors? I put some diesel kleens in the tank and was hoping that would clean the system a bit but either than that I was blaming bad fuel.

 

I have a 1996 ford f25 with the 7.3 turbo it runs an idles fine but when you put it in drive or reverse it has no power its like it's booged down . I push the pedel to the foor still no power . What's wrong ????

 

Welcome to FTE, I know the motor is very similar, my guess would be fuel restrictions or bad injectors/ICP or IPR there are alot of variables we would need more info, but I think you will have better luck in this forum

The brown stains I believe is just oil left in the cavity which gets burnt over and over again staining the injector.

 

Which one? I changed the #2 injector on a truck at work with a shorted coil. It was stained about half way around.

Those are my exact symptoms. I get a cel light 1500 rpm when I let off throttle, cel goes off at 900rpm then truck will generally drive ok when i depress the throttle. Only seems to happen when truck is warm. Ive replaced lpop, hpop, icp, ipr, left and right uvch pigtails, left and right uvc gaskets, right fuel line, fuel filter, idm, bellowed up pipes, turbo pedestal seals, new collector to turbo clamp, new brake actuater sensor, 6637 air cleaner, ebpv sensor, iat sensor, map sensor. All parts are either motorcraft or alliant.

Please help
