I am planning to put headers on my 89 302. Has anyone put headers on their full size Bronco? Where did you get them, how much? Any trouble installing? I don't expect great proformance, I just need a cheaper alternative to the factory manifolds ($600.00 dealer). Is it common for the exhaust manifolds to crack?
Ford Motorsport makes a nice stainless steel shorty type header that olny replaces factory manifolds and keeps the factory cat intact. There are several other manafactures also. Any speed or peformance shop can get them.
Hi, i'm running shorty's on my 87 302 bronco, i get them from a mustang i found in a junk yard for 70 buck's, the hard part is to fit them to the existing exast system, well , it wasn't that hard but it nead some cut and welding, the total cost was arrong 150, and the truk performs realy nice.
hope this helps.
ford motorsports stainless shortys bolt right up
if you don't have smog injection heads.
took me about 4 hrs .got them from p.a.w in chatsworth,ca $300 . i'd recomend a high flow cat
and performance muffler if you really want to let
it breathe. k&n supercharger air cleaner would'nt
hurt either. shop around on cats mufflers and
installation i paid $500 had estimates as high
as $900
