Wink what numbers do ya put in??

needing rear brake job soon (56k) could someone please, oh please re-hash the gory details involving removal of rear rotors. where to use anti-sieze compound and also tell me if the brake caliper piston is pushed straight in or rotated in. ordering BAER rotors tomorrow and any photos and/or step-by-step "destructions" would be simply scrumptous.

Its really not much different than any other truck. Just remember to release the clip on the pad to get it out. If I remember correctly, it pivots and snaps into place. The caliper piston is pushed straight in not rotated. Clean the slides up if they have any corrosion. You should be done in no time. Are you sure you need new rotors in the rear? Do you have modulation?

yea it isnt too hard. in addition to what FS said, the rotors will come off once the caliper is removed. you may need to take a mallot to them and whack them off but they come off pretty easily. not a hard job. (if i remember correctly, it is just one bolt that hold the rear calipers on and the fronts are just 2) shouldnt take more than 30/45 minutes per wheel total. just get come c-clamps to help get the piston in the caliper compressed enough so you can get them over the new pads. as for the clips...just remember how they came off.
