Also Oklahoma City would be a good place. They would just kill to get a professional sports franchise there. They support a very bad New Orleans Hornets team when they play half of their home games in OKC.
He could move them out to Kansas City. The city's new arena is almost finished and they are looking for a NBA or NHL franchise to come in.
I think the Penguins were looking to move there if their new arena bid fell thru. The one thing these cities that you have mention have going for them is population. Get an NHL team in there and they would be a fad for abit and then attendance would start to suffer. ( Panthers, Hurricanes, Predators, Thrashers) IMO a NBA would have a better go of it.
Hamilton could make a go of it seeing the large market in southern Ontario and Quebec City seeing the population and history with the Nordiques. Winnipeg I would have to see to believe. I can remember going to Jets games in Winnipeg and seeing the old arena almost empty when they were slumpin' and remember not being able to buy tickets because of sell outs when they were winnin'
I don't think that can happen now a days because Winnipeg is a small market. They would have to have near sell outs every game to really make a go of it again. IMO Winnipeg, Hamilton, or Quebec City will get a team way before Halifax. But I have been known to have been wrong before......
