just a couple days ago my buddy backed into my bronco(92 eddie bauer) the thing is, he has a 88 crown vic....i didnt think he hit me hard, but when i checked it he dented it pretty good(had one of thoes license plate things rivited into it, which could have prevented some damage) but where the crome was comming off it had to of been really rusted behind there and when he hit it, it broke all the rust into holes......
i was wondering where i could get a cheap replacement or if anyone has any ideas on how to patch it??
Check local wreckers or a body shop or yellow pages . I put a generic after market on mine 6 yrs ago I painted the back before install and it still looks nice.
I checked my wreckers and checked prices and I can get them for same price as NPD and no shipping . $140. chrome with pad holes . Good luck
New bumpers are surprisingly cheap from mail order houses, though shipping will probably cost you a bundle. Wreckers should be a little cheaper, but no shipping. Lastly, you can just use some metallic paint on it to cover up the rust after surface preparation, and that should be the cheapest by a big margin.
