Isnt It more Idle to have the tran temps stay lower then this if you can?
Yep, It would be nice to have the temps a little lower. It's the fast warm-up and consistant temps that are good for the tranny IMO. I change the fluid and filter every 20-25K miles, or if I see the temps go over 220F I change it sooner. Running a trans too cool is not good either IMO. Just like a car engine, It needs to get hot enough to burn off condensation and get to the designed temp for oil flow and bearing/bushing optimal clearances.
Your not hurting a thing with tranny temps in the 200 range, you guys are worried about nothing, 225 red line but your not going to hurt it pulling for a hour in traffic at 200...
