that is a sweet story, I have a chance to get a 360/390 too. It is sitting behind an old garage and the owner doesn't want anything to do with it. We will be doing a little "town cleanup" soon, I will get it then with a little help from the neighbor.
I bought the usual used 390 for $100, it looked fairly clean on the outside, once we opened it up it looked like low mileage rebuild!
I put it in my 71 F350 to replace a worn out 360.
It has a 3.05 rear end though, that may explain it. But for a C6 that is pretty good. if it didn't look like Sh*$ that would be my driver that 360 uses NO oil and probably is my best running motor.
