fron drive shaft hits crossmember

fron drive shaft hits crossmember
With 8" of lift, the drive shaft is impeded by the crossmember. Is there a way of bypassing the crossmember? Is there a kit to lower the transfer case, even though it's not chain driven? OR does someone have a crossmember relocation kit OR would I have to fabricate an extended shaft that angles down, after it clears the member?

Just a suggestion for what it's worth, can you remove the member and have a shop make a custom "indent" or drop to clear the shaft? I've seen this somewhere on a Bronco, but can't remember where, I think in one of the 4x4 mags. I'll kick around to see if I can find it. as I recall, the crossmember had a "ramp" put on it to lower the place where the driveshaft was hitting it. Cut the member as much as needed, pull the cut piece down enough to clear, then place triangle shaped pieces along the sides to support and weld it up. If you consider this, make sure you make the measurements at full droop. Chuck P.

Thanks Chuck,
I was just hoping for an easy way out. I've tried cutting through it before, but stopped after I got 1/4 inch and had gone through three blades. I'd love to borrow a torch from a friend, but after I started cutting, I realized how much I might be weakening the member. SO that lead me to wanting to learn how to weld...on going process of gaining knowledge.
thanks again.
