These numbers mean anything?

Block casting: C3ME

Head casting: 6K5J

Intake: C7TE9425-F

Numbers a guy gave me off of a FE.

Trying to find out if they will work on my 72 360 for extra parts.

Also, if his engine is a 390, will the headers fit my 360?

Will the parts fit, yes. Since the 360 and 390 use the same block, heads and intake.

C3ME = 1963 Mercury engine

6K5J is a date code.

C7TE = 1967 Truck engine

The headers will fit unless he have some of the staggered exhaust bolt heads and that's not likely.

1963?

So any part from any FE engine (1958-1976) will bolt onto any year?

Forgive me, but I know next to nothing about these engines

Well, with some exceptions. Like the 427 heads with big valves will bolt to a 352 block, but the valves hit the block. But in most cases all FEs are the same. In the case of the 360 and 390 both have the same bore, 4.05", but different stroke (360 is 3.50" and the 390 is 3.78"). But on the exhaust question, the 390GT motors had staggered exhaust bolts like the 428CJ and the 427.
