I am looking at a 2007 F350 extended cab XLT with the 6.0. They are offering me the truck for 39,500. Is that a good deal? The truck only has 23 miles on it. Any input would be appreciated.
I paid that for my '06 Lariat Crew Cab, which stickered for about 49,500. So I say no, not good enough, especially if it is only a Super Cab. The Crews go for about 2K more than them.
Because the 08's have been out for a while now and the truck is an ext cab XLT, you should be able to get it a lot cheaper than that. My 06 Lariat CC FX4 was 49,250 and i walked off the lot with the truck at 42k.
I got them down to 38,600, how does that sound? Also he said that I have to have the truck worked on by a Ford dealer, I just wanted to make sure that that is not true as long as you follow the manual and keep all your receipts.
I am 99% likely to buy the truck at $38,600 tommorow and when I need service just go to my regular mechanic who I trust and have a good relationship with. I will just make sure I document everything that I have done to the truck and follow Ford's guidelines so they will not have a problem honoring the warranty. I thank you all for your input on everything, I like this site a lot!
looks to be in the ballpark..i just paid 38500. for a 07 sc f350 xlt fx4 with 1600 miles on it..they gave me 19500 for my trade, was a 04 f250 sc xlt v-10...not many used 07 models on the market in my area.
Take your sticker price (from the factory sticker, not the dealers, we added undercoating, pinstriping and scotchgard price. If they have any add on's tell them to eat them) and subtract 5K from that. Then take whatever the rebate is and subtract it from that and you have a pretty good deal. As far as the service goes, just keep good documentation on it.
