Ok, my rear passenger side window when it rolls up or down it will squeak and it is starting to get quite annoying! I know nothing major or mechanically is wrong I am sure its the weather strip on the bottom of the window. My question is, is there anything I can do to make that thing stop!
you might try to lubricate it with a silicone spray to soften it up some. i have done that in the past to help the window roll up or down. it might just stop a squeak also.
I had to replace the motor in my rear window as well. Started out as a squeak, then just quit working. My driver front window is starting to make awful squeals now too.
The regulator is what the motor is bolted to as well as the window. It is the part that allows the window to be moved up and down. You can try to lube it and it may work.
Add me to the list of 04's with a broken window regulator. I was sitting at a light this past holiday weekend and heard a huge bang. I thought someone had hit me. While I was looking around to see what happened, I noticed the drivers side window disappearing into the door. And now if you hit the PW switch, all you hear are clicking sounds from the door. I tell you if it happens while your driving down the highway, the bang followed by the incoming rushing air could really catch you off guard. FYI, the window was making what sounded like a grinding noise before it let go. I brought it up to the dealer during the last oil change but since it was still going up and down at that point they would do NOTHING.
