Transmission Issues!!
Just bought a 2005 Excursion 4x4 PSD, Eddie Bauer. 37k Miles.
The other the transmission slipped from 3rd to 4th.. and maybe once from 2nd to 3rd. It only happened on this short trip... about 4 miles. Came home check tranny fluid and it was great. Well it has not happened since. I do have a appointment with a dealer tomorrow.. Anyone have any ideas why this is going on,, and why it did it only that one time...

While towing mine slipped in 2nd gear one time hasn't done it since. I took mine in and got the ol, "we could not duplicate the problem" from the dealer.
Hopefully if something is wrong they will duplicate it on a test drive and fix it!!

when you take it to them leave the load hooked to the x so they can see how it does when loaded, if you take it to them empty they cannot recreate the event without finding a trailer and loading it up and then test drive vehicle. thats if it only slips when pulling the trailer. other wise tell them at what speed and throtle position at the time of slip.
