help with exhaust

Ok well i had flowmaster 40 series running true duals with no cats, i had the mufflers cut off to run stright pipes well the cops here seem to hate that idea so they gave me 14 days to put my mufflers back on, what would be the next loudest thing to stright pipes thats legal?

Glasspacks. The auto store back home used to have a bin full of various sized galsspacks for dirt cheap. You can order Thrush glasspacks through summit, if your autto shop doesn't have them, and delivery is usually 2 to 3 days.

Well put your flowmasters back on or glasspacks and do exhaust cut outs like where you can hit a switch to run it through the headers then hit it back to run through mufflers to quiet it down a bit i like that a lot but it might mean more money

You're lucky that cop didn't take a closer look at your exhaust. If you get caught running with no cats, you could be in for a HUGE fine.

and also if the cop says you need mufflers hes prolly gunna give you a ticket for cut outs, they are illegal in many places, and if the cops being that ****, hes prolly gunna check it out next time, so be careful!

why do you want to run straight pipes and have something annoyingly loud

why not put the flows back on?

Well thats why dont have the cutouts flipped on when the cops are around or late at night when people are trying to sleep i guess you could get a ticket but its the closest thing to get loudness then quietness

just having the ability to switch to the stright dump is generally illegal, anything the reroutes your exhaust even if its not active is generally illegal, just like having red and blue lights is illegal, even if they arent on, they still arent allowed

its rediculious how many pointless laws we have, either we can take a chance

and make your exhaust louder or we can sit back and not be able to hear if our engine is even running.

I agree on the laws, that there's to many.
But haveing a nice sounding exhaust is one thing if it does'nt rattle others teeth.
But say haveing a striaght out pipe just to be loud is really stupid.
