Where To Put The Stacks

Next year I'm redoing the Crew Cab, wooden flat bed, dual stacks etc. Plans all made up. Question I have is where should I put the stacks? I know, behind the cab, lol. But should I put them towards the middle like the truck in the attached video, or at the corners of the cabs? The bed would be easier to make with the pipes at the corners, just cut the corners to make room for the pipes, vice having to cut two "holes" in the center/front of the bed. I've seen trucks with both and like them equally. I want to be able to continue carrying things in the bed, so with the pipes in the middle, it may restrict the cargo, in the corners, I can use a protective "box" around them to keep the heat away from any cargo.

Opinions please.

It really hard to say, I don`t care for the centre so abit further out or on the ends would be my first thoughts.
This is a neat video, Hank jr sounds great in the background.
Now I wish I had left room when putting the headach rack on my 71 F350.

Stacks are legal if properly supported with adequate mufflers and if located on the outer cab corners may require heat sheilds.
That`s the offical word from SGI.

Looking like outside cab corners. I kinda prefer that too, but now will just have to wait and see how they fit given what's under the bed. Saddle tank, drive line, E brake cables, goodness knows what else! Eventualy I'd like to swap in a 6.9 or a 7.3 IDI, so design will have to take that into account too.

Good planning is needed to save headaches later on but I find it`s hard to take everything in to account, something can cause changes later on.

it probably will be the hardest place to put them because of all the things that hang on the outside edges of the frame, but it will definately be the better looking of the choices, imo.

Through the box loks ok, maybe better, but then you lose the box space, which sucks.
