i just picked up my truck from the exhaust shop that installed my headers and everything behind them. Had new high flow cat installed and a 40 series flowmaster. IT sounds great and i've noticed an improvement in performance. get up and go that is. I've also noticed a funny smell which i've atributed to "breaking them in". Sound right? Also i've gotten some smoke coming from the tail pipe. This just all the junk in the headers and exhaust piping burning out?
Yeah i just had the same system put on a few weeks ago except no headers i kind of regret that but w/e i spent enought on my exhaust system for now i have noticed that smell for a few seconds too but i think its from the new system and what not it should go away it not doing it to me that much
yeah when i got my exhaust i had the smoke and smell, itll wear off after a couple days or so, i might be imagening this but it seemed that when i got my new pipes, cat back, and muffler, spintech, that if i really gunned it itd pop and crack more, like a back fire but not so loud, than before is that legit or am i just noticing it or am i just pushing it harder cuz i like the sound?? anyone else get that? i may be totally crazy, but i was just wondering
