with my 1994 F250. I had an exhaust mainfold leak so I decided to replace the manifolds with a set of shorty headers. To make pulling the old manifolds easier I removed the front fenders. After I got the headers on I couldn't just put the old rusty fenders back so I replaced them too. Well that made the rusty box look worse, so I welded in a bunch of patch panels. Then I couldn't just leave the truck all different colors so I primed and painted the old beast:
I look at it this way I'll put $400 every couple months into Truck I'm still ahead . So what a monthlyNew truck payment is at least that But I don't like them . I drive mine till all I have left is motor.Even doing constant body work to keep it nice there comes a time when you have to say "New project".
All I have to say is nice truck you built it ,and it means more to you. I think you spent your money well .Happy wrenching. LOSTIN90's

Oh yeah you did spend it well you can keep fixing on the ol one and it sometimes cost less than a new truck payment looks awesome i bet it sounds nice with headers too
The truck is surprisingly quiet. I'm still running the stock exhaust, if I get around to changing it anyone have any suggestions (btw it's a 5.8)?? Thanks in advance
I have an exhaust suggestion...fab up a 2.25" Y-pipe from the headers, then run it into a 3" Catco cat, followed by a 3" Dynomax super turbo muffler. Run the rest of the 3" pipe out the stock location behind the tire. This setup gives you a great burble at idle and sounds really nice at full song. You also have ZERO resonance in the cab. My buddy and I fabbed up this exact exhaust on my 87 F150 w 351, and it sounds great...plus it looks stock! I'll try to get some pics and put in my gallery later. Good luck!
I have an correction to the last suggest. My experience with Catco converters has been mediocre at best. Get in tough with www.bearriverconverters.com for some cats that are a better bang for the buck. The Dynomax Super Turbo is a great muffler, good performance without being loud.
