steering wheel refinish
The clear coat on my leather steering wheel has come off and the dealer wants to refinish it for 60 bucks. Its brand new looking under the clear coat. Can I keep it clean with saddle soap, Zymol, neatsfoot oil or should I let them go ahead and finish it? What do they finish it with?

Hmmmm....I have a King Ranch with leather inserts in the steering wheel. I just use the same saddle soap and conditioner that I use on the seats. Never heard of a clear coat on the steering wheel.

Clear Coat over fabric? Unless it's a laminate, I have never heard of putting a hard clear over fabric. The laminate synthetic wood grain stuff can peel.

Just bought a new one and installed it this weekend. It couldn't have been any easier. Paid $145 and some change + $12 shipping. https://fordparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html This is where I bought it. Nice and new and no refinishing worries.
