Hello all, just curious as to anyone using aftermarket tow mirriros on ther SD. I have an 02 F250 with the tow mirrors, with no ambers or heat. Unfortunantley it got slammed on the passenger side by a bread truck loosing control in the downtown tunnel.I only lost the mirror thankfully, but he slammed the wall and tore his truck up all down the side. Not a lot of room to get away from 'em in a tube.
Anybody know of some decent ones for a good price?
Thanks in advance.
I bought a set for $85. still in the box off craigs list but don't know where else to look. If you can wait it might be a place to start looking. Sure saved me several $$.
I saw that thread last week, and would love to do that, but cash is a factor. That's the reason for looking into aftermarket. I know either take offs for a resonable price, or after market that have a good rep. I've found them on e-bay for less than a $100 shipped, but worry about quality.Last thing I want is a piece of crap.
I would not reccomend the aftermarket mirrors. I replaced my right side towing mirror
with a cheaper after market, and found out why they were cheaper! They are not as sturdy when you pick them up (lighter) and they vibrate going down the highway! I
only had it on for a week, and bit the bullet, and bought a OEM one from the dealer.
I have seen some good deals on e-bay for used ones, But you get what you pay for with the aftermarket! Just my opinion!
i have a set of tt mirrors that are 1 year old and are factory ford. they are power, heated, fold both ways, chrome putco covers for sale. check gallery for pics. NOT THE SIGNAL MIRRORS. pm me if interested.
