Just want to know from all you troubleshooters out there what some of the
symptom's would be associated with a clogged or near clogged catylytic
converter. reason being is with my (460) when going up a say 6% grade
no load it seems to heat up alittle and starts to ping pretty badly. I have
recently put a OEM waterpump in and new clutch for the fan so I dont
think thats the problem, any ideas???.
Depending on how bad the clog is, the engine will not make rpm, and will buck and surge with little power. Kinda like running out of gas with a carbed engine. jd
