Size Question

I want to replace my stock muffler with a glasspack until I have the money to do my exhaust system, what are the sizes of these pipes that I have X'ed on the photos?

i dont know. but if your close enough to take pictures, get a tape measure and measure them! should be easy.

it doesnt really matter what size of pipes are in your pics what would help is if we knew the size of engine you have and the mods to the engine

im gonna gues 2 1/4, but ya go and use a tape measure or a cheap plastic caliper does just fine. I would suggest and 18" body cherry bomb but thats just me they do sound good.

O'reilly had the tailpipe for like 30 bucks and I picked up a 25" cherry bomb at checker for another 25 I think. Sounds pretty decent for a quick fix for a cool exhaust sound, but I think my truck got slower... Since the quicky exhaust it has given me the profound feeling of how much backpressure the stock manifolds and system put on the engine. I think my passat has a larger diameter stock exhaust.

Turns out the stock system is roughly 2" diameter past the y-pipe. Itty-bitty for a single pipe.
