2001 Excursion, 130,000 miles. The vent system would not change from defrost. We accurately identified it as a vacuum leak. The location of the leak is a small switch, it looks like it may have a diaphragm on the bottom of it. The switch is mounted to the fender, forward of the electric vacuum pump with a wire plug in the top and two vacuum lines down near the bottom. What does this switch do? The number on the top of the switch is PA66-GF33. Also there is on line to the switch that has vacuum, the other goes under the engine and then we could not trace it. Where does this line go?
That sounds like your hublock solenoid. What it is for the auto hubs. One line splits and goes to the hubs and the other to the reservoir. The vaccuum hub lock lock solenoid p/n 6C3Z9H465 BA cost me $51 dollars at the stealership.
