I got a tandom duper spotted in Washinton that I will have this summer. Some way some how. Love the live bed for car hauling. That is a Sweet Truck. And if it's still got a y Block in it that is even sweeter.
The drive train the only questionable parts could be the Driver axles. The cab isnot rusty but the driver door is. The fibreglass hood has enough cracks.
The air system is fine and the hoist is good, box is in rough enought shape though. And it gets driven.
Hi Joe. I beleave I's a 55 or 56 10 wheel dump. I haven't been up to within 200 feet of it as the two times I stopped the Old rancher was out and about. His wife said that he would have to be there to look at It. She was suprized that I was asking about it as no one else had. She said he bought it in 58 and used it till the clutch went out. She said It was deisel. Didn't know if it was Cummins or Detroit. But was all as he got it. Had been setting for two years in 2000. Said It still started with a jump but wouldn't move. And the Rancher just had not got around to pulling it to the barn. I was down there last fall and It was still in the same place. I plan to check on it the trip down this summer. I could see that it looked very sound. And asked her about rust. She said It was alwasy keep in the barn when he wasn't using it to haul rocks out of the hay fields. And had only been setting out sence it broke down. She also said he only used it a couple times a year when he plowed and would get cheep help to hand pitch the rocks into it. Only used on the hiway every 4 or 5 years to retop there drive with crushed rock. If I can't make it down this summer I will give the location to all. If I can't save it than I wan't someone from FTE to get it. I hope this is enough info. Prolly more than I should give. It's red and ya look down on it when ya drive by on the road. Yes ya can see it from the road.
