The other day she decided to hiccup really bad.. Like everything was covered.. I had to get on her the other day to get out of the way and I heard what we normally say is turbo fart.. 10 mins later I popped the hood and noticed coolant everywhere..
So.. Today I was working on the truck fixing the downpipe because it was against my firewall making a lot of racket.. I decided to clean the bottle off while I had the hood open.. When I went in awhile back for this they marked my bottle with the new marks per the TSB.. Well I'm hardly on level ground except today.. My house is on a hill so I can't ever check the fluid properly.. I was at TNT's doing the work and his driveway is pretty level.. I just happen to notice my coolant is prob quarter inch above the factory MAX line.. That would explain my explosion.. They didn't drain my damn coolant when I took it in.. They just marked the bottle and sent me on my way..
So.. Whats the easiest way to drain this dang thing to get it lower?
I noticed mine had puked ever so slightly one day last week, just a little residue on the outside of the bottle, only second time in 2 years, first was in the first month while pushing her hard.... Funny thing in this case was I checked the bottle and it was low, about an inch below the TSB decal, I picked up some coolant and went to check it the next day, cold as I had the day before, and it was fine, have checked it a couple times since and still fine... Everytime you think you have things under control something else happens that will sit in the back of your head and make you wonder....
the turkey baster or the antifreeze tester should draw up the excess in the bottle.Mine puked for the first time the other day.it is below the line now and hasnt had a repeat performance yet.It is pretty scary though when it does puke.
Heck, mine pukes all the time. My bottle always had white crusty on the outside. lol And I've got studs and the EGR removed. I just wash the engine off everytime I wash the truck. I gave up trying to figure out why. I've been tol if I drive it light it'll never puke, but I didn't build this baby to drive it light. I leave a trail of smoke everywhere I go. It's just too damned fun!!

Thank you! You have given me what I needed to hear.. Its to the point that I don't think it has anything to do with what we think.. Grant it I am going to Headstud and EGR delete the truck.. I plan to build her up to a beast literally..

Add a coolant filter and it'll drop the level to just about where it should be. Plus, you'll get filtered coolant and get all the sand casting crud out of there!
