I have had to take hard looks at both the terms "COOL" and "USELESS".

I don't know whether I have. Just more in the definition of "What is cool?"
Is cool, wearing the latest clothes, having the "hotest friends" etc. etc.

Or is it being happy with who you are - irrespective of what others surrounding you may think?

For me, the latter is far cooler than the former...

Anyone ever been into a "Hollister" or "American Eagle" store? 70 bucks for a pair of jeans? Granted i once bought a pair of jeans from hollister and my GF loved it when i wore them. Back in HS i bought this pair of jeans and some preppy clothing. I put it on and went to a party where all of the preps hang out. Yeah i was in with the crowd and stuff, but it still just didnt feel right. Because I was trying to be someone else. I love college. I've got my own garage and plenty of friends who work on cars/trucks. Now i can wear my dirty worn out jeans to school and a T shirt, and still fit into my own crowd. I cant wait for next semester. We moved and my APT is like 1 block from the parts store where my buddy works. I can see alot of time being spent in my garage drinking beer and building engines. Cant wait.

I've never been to any of those big name stores. My clothes don't seem to stay clean between the farm and being a grease rag. I shop at Wally World and KMart.
