New Motor!

hey,

I got my "new" 7.3L diesel yeaterday. The only thing I did to it was remove the intake manifold and cleaned it off along with the valley pan. The pics are in my gallery and I would like to know what I'm missing, the obvious things I see that i need are: Injector pump and lines (ouch), 2 intake manifold bolts, starter, flywheel, oil and fuel filter housings, and I need new valve covers (it was a roll-over engine).

The glow plugs are "beru made in germany" plugs and are not broken, one plus.
The motor turns with a breaker bar on the crank pulley.

Please tell me what all I need and if possible, could you guys please run me up a total for all this?

Thanks a ton

Picture #1 the place on the intake that has nothing is where ATS mounts the air cleaner, International mounts the fuel filter there, Ford mounted nothing there.

Picture #2 the place to the rear of the engine is the oil sending unit location.

Picture #6 and #7 are where the oil cooler mounts.

Picture #11 is the tach sending unit and wire.

Picture #12 is the water pump.

Picture #13 is where the power steering pump bracket and the AC compressor bracket mount, AC compressor on the head, power steering on the water pump.

Picture #14 is where the fuel filter, alternator and vacuum pump brackets all mount.

While you are looking, look for the temp switch for fast idle and timing advance located here.

And the temp gauge and temp light sending units mounted here.

I did not see the oil cooler, which is more expensive than the IP.
You are missing the IP and injection lines.
You are also missing the engine harness and glow plug controller.
You are missing all the mounting brackets for the alternator, vacuum pump, power steering and AC compressor.

You AC compressor and power streering pump would probably mount to the brackets if you had them.
The alternator might, but diesels usually have a larger alternator than a gasser does.
You will need a vacuum pump.

The oil sending unit looks like it is there, can not tell for sure.
Oil coolers are almost 1000 dollars new at Ford.
IP's can be had for around 450 dollars exchange, but with no core will be more.
Injection lines are between 40 and 70 dollars each depending on where you get them.
Engine wiring harness was 150 dollars new at Ford several years ago.
Glow plug controller was also 150 dollars new at Ford several years ago.

I have no idea what brackets are going to be price wise.
