Internet selling
Hi everyone,
I am working on a project dealing with internet sales within Ford dealerships in the Southeast region of the country. I would appreciate responses from those individuals who went to cars.com, autotrader, costo, etc. or fordvehicles.com in order to find a vehicle and contact a Ford dealer. I am specifically talking in reference to your e-mail and phone contact with your chosen dealer during the sales process. Please feel free to share your buying experiences that started from any type of internet communication. Tell me what you liked and disliked about the process and how internet selling could improve in general. I sincerely appreciate your responses.
Thank you.
I emailed a dealer through thier own website about a truck,(on a weds afternoon) I left my email, name, and phone number. I did not rercieve a response (email ) until the following monday, I had already found the truck I was going to buy at that point.
FWIW, I'm in the hardwood flooring distribution business. I'm hooked up with a LARGE website that generates 20-40 leads per day (via email) these leads are sent to about 100 distro's. I make it a point to get the quotes out the same day I get them, And I do a general followup email 3 days later.....
I tried submitting my own "lead" and some of my compettitors replied 4 days after...
QUICK COMMUNICATION IS KEY
