Just wondering...
I have read that on a 6.9 the headbolts are a major weak point on the the motor. Can the holes for the headbolts be drilled and tapped to the 1/2 inch size for the 7.3 or would just using head studs be better or could both be used? I beleve all in all the 6.9 and the 7.3 are the same motor just the 7.3 has a larger cylinder bore so there should be room enough on te pads for the larger bolts/studs.
Just a thought
Might be possible, but going to thread in head studs would give better results than using OEM 7.3L bolts.
I'm not sure, but I think the stud sizes are close enough that the 1/2" bolt would require a tapping hole that is already smaller than the 7/16" that the 6.9 has.
