Hey when does low HPOP pressure throw a code? I was only seeing 1800 on mine and it didn't throw a code I don't believe. How do you tell if its your pump or a bad IPR? And is the the pressure regulated by throttle possition? So in other words if you floor it it should top out imediately right? What pump would be in a 2000 with a build date of 10/99?

i know Kris said somthing about taking back plate of the pump and looking at the berring the 17* has like plastic insert in it, and the 15* has all steel bering if i remember correctly, but im not 100% sure , ask Kris,
and i think to check the IPR you have to have AE hooked up and looking at live data on it, Alan or Dan would know more about it,

Pete is right. From my experience i bought a 15* pump and tore it apart, it had a bearing right behind that back plate and circlip Kwik. I am not sure but i have "heard" that the 17* pumps use a bushing instead. They only make two stock pumps, a 15* that was used for the 1994-early 1999 trucks, and in 1999.5 they switched to a 17*. If you have the 3" intake plenums and the newer turbocharger you have the late pump, it's that simple.

i used my scaner and watched icp pressure and duty cycle and peak pressure was about 2450 and the duty cycle never went higher than about 55% would you think that the hpop is the reason why i am getting the 1211 code. Oh i did take off the banks six gun and the code doesnt come on as frequently but it does still come when i get after it real hard.
