Cleaning Air Conditioning Filters
I need help in replacing or cleaning the air conditioning filters in my '97 Ford Ranger. When I turn on the AC, the air has a moldy smell and has a lot of particulates (dust).
I could not find the Manual and I am not particularly handy.
I will greatly appreciate a detailed procedure.

The Rangers do not have A/C filters. You probably have a bunch of moist junk built up on the evaporator that's molding and causing your grief.
They make products that you can spray down the defrost vents to de-odorize it.. and more products that will actually clean off the evaporator.. although you may have to remove the blower motor to get access to it.
