What cam would be a good upgrade for the stock 351W? If someone can give me the specs on the stock cam, that would be helpful too. I am looking at a comp cams extreme 4X4 cam kit. If I had the specs of the stock cam specs, it would help in choosing the lift, duration etc. Thanks
There is another thread in the small block forum on this, quite informative. I am having serious troubles getting this thing running right, with threads both here in the bronc forum as well as in the small block forum. I am hearing good things about the comp cams extreme 4x4 cam kit. It's only $180.
Just call each of the cam companies you're lookin at and tell them what you want. That's what I did, told them everyting I planned to do to the motor and what I wanted to get out of it, how it was to be used. Then see what they suggest and pick the one that best suits your needs.

Amen brother! That's the best thing you could do. Just remember to go low on the Lobe seperation...to get the really cool idle!
This is to be the wife's daily driver. It will pull my quad tailer, which rarely has less than 4 quads on it. She wants something that "sounds mean and will keep up with the '65" So we would like to hear it lope. But I am hoping to get decent mileage too. I understand it is a v8 4 barrel, but we do understand the idea of keeping our foot out of it. Has anyone checked either of my other two threads about what I'm going through? This is a nightmare. For a $200, it's almost starting to not be worth it. But I'm now into it for almost $1000 so I kinda can't quit now.
P.S. That 1k is just motor stuff.
