Ok, first off let me say that I have a 1994 Bronco with 5.0L and the problems I am having include: hard-starting, lack of power, and excessive fuel consumption. I bought one of those engine diagnostic tools and it gave me a code 211 (PIP circuit failure). Now I was wondering what I should do to fix the problem. I was told to rebuild the distributor but I'm was hoping to get some input here. thanks in advance.
The computer has seen a intermittent problem (profile igniton pickup) in the square wave generated by the ign. module going to the computer. Usually replacing module will make this code go away.

I recently noticed in my summit racing catalog that Holley is now making Ignition Modules for Ford's with the EEC-IV computer system. Has anybody heard of or used the holley modules?
A law firm on Friday filed what it said was the first nationwide class action lawsuit against Ford Motor Co. over allegedly faulty ignition modules that can cause vehicles to stall.
Kenneth B. Moll & Associates in a statement said it wants Ford to recall all of the nearly 23 million cars and trucks equipped with the thick film ignition module (TFI) and reimburse people who suffered economic or personal injury from vehicles with the distributor-mounted modules.
On Wednesday California Judge Michael Ballachey ordered Ford to recall and fix up to 2 million of the TFI-equipped vehicles in California. In the first vehicle recall issued by a judge, Ballachey said Ford had misled consumers about a design defect that could make the vehicles stall. Ford said it would appeal.
The lawsuit filed on Friday said Ford improperly put the modules near the hottest part of the engine. The modules were intended to regulate electrical current to the spark plugs, but the part failed and caused cars to stall, the lawsuit said.
The suit also charged that Ford knew the cars could stall, but misled regulators and hid relevant documents.
To tell you the truth I think you should try and check the fuel pressure before you rebuild the distributor. If the fuel pressure regulator is bad it will cause excessive fuel pressure and make the engine run rough in some cases even black smoke appear. good luck
