Front Bearings Going How Do I Know?

Besides obvious wobble by grabbing top of tire with both hands and push/pulling it, I've found that the ABS light will come on and not be able to reset due to metal file from bearings collecting on the ABS sensor inside the 2 front hubs.

Here's a couple of things I had. Bearing howl that would increase or decrease with speed, was a bad wheel bearing(non-serviceable). I also had a knuckle seal go out that wiped out the serviceable needle bearing in the hub. When this went it also took out the $200 stub axle. Needle bearing is available from the parts store for about $12.
If you have to change hubs, you'll have to buy 4 new studs and an o-ring from your local Ford dealer for each hub assembly.
