Well guys I think I bought a second hand POS Bronco. First it was the manafold gasket, then it was the window, and now it could either be the water pump or a blown head gasket. When I drive at 60mph or greater for more than a mile or so it emitts a white smoke for the back of the bronco that covers the whole truck in a cloud of white smoke. It smells like cellary. But the guys at the local parts store were torn between oil leaking into my water pump or that the smoke is coming from my head gasket because it puts out some white smoke in the morning when I first crank it. I'm at a lost guys! What do you think? If you have any ideas or suggestions reply!

had an old guy tell me once, " white smoke is water, blue smoke is oil, black smoke is too much gas.
are you losing antifreeze? could be head gasket, could be cracked head or block. you do not necessarily get oil in water and vice-versa with head gasket blown.
do a compression check before and after it is warm to see if you get varied readings to determine if you have blown gasket.
the probable reason you get white smoke on cold startup is a slight trickling of water into cylinder after you shut it off, because engine will actually get hotter for a while after you shut it off. and, coolant will also seep in overnight.
when you drive at first startup, the engine burns off what is in cylinder, and then when engine warms up and parts expand, the leak reappears, and you start to burn water!
hope this makes some sense.
That makes a ton of sense! Because I have seen anti-freeze under my bronco once. But today when I went to the shop they said that is was more than likely bad cats. He said if it smells really bad almost like rotten eggs then its bad cats. So I'm really torn because you have a good explanation of what it might be. Even though its expensive to get the heads worked on I've heard and since I can't to the work myself then I don't know what to do. I thought when the block was cracked that it ran really bad. My bronco runs great. Its ran even better since I my the fuel system cleaner in it. Its a lot smoother and all. If anyone has had a similar problem please help!!

you keep referring to the "guys in the shop".
are these friends or just a shop you found ?
cats will make a stink, but it will stink at exhaust pipe, with a little creep into cab.
you said you can't work on it yourself, so i think i would take it to another shop for a second opinion. ask around your area for reliable place to go, and spend a few bucks to diagnose problem before you buy new cats or tear heads off.
one interesting note though, did this problem occur before you changed intake manifold gasket??or after?
actally, you said manifold gasket, not specifically the intake gasket, but still did it occur before or after?
also, i doubt it is a cracked head or block, but!!!! who knows
Did they do a cylinder leakdown check. This will tell if you have a blown head gasket and the general condition of the cylinders. It can find bad valves, bad rings also. Hope this helps
When I say, "the guys at the shop." I'm referring to these guys my dad knows that own a shop a few miles from my house. The smoke and smell don't come from under the hood it comes from the side my exhaste tip comes out on. And I having got a chance to get my manafold gasket replaced yet because I'd have to leave my bronco over-might and I need it to get to work! Anyway, I found out where the anti-freeze I saw the other day was cominn from. The reservoir for the radiator its cap is plastic and it don't seal tight so when I get on a bumpey road it spills out. Therefore I'm not losing anti-freeze. Plus it doesn't ever get anywhere near hot infact it normally runs under normal. So tell me what you think now? I'm still lost and on Friday I'm suppose to take it to the shop and leave it. Thanks

brad is correct that you should have a leakdown test done. this should help pinpoint the cause.
other than that, since your not losing coolant, remove the cats temporarily to see if situation changes.
good luck and let us know what happens.
Thats whats happening Friday...the cats are coming off. If that doesn't fix it then I'm gonna save up for a new engine because by the time I get this one fixed I could have bought two more.......
