Fuel Pump

1989 F250 5.0L duel gas tanks
runs fine on rear tank switch to front tank will run maybe a mile or two then starts to cut out and then dies, switch back to rear tank and runs fine. is it the fuel pump in the front tank or could it be something else? like always thanks

Most of the time it is the front boost pump but once in a while it is the selector valve.
Of course it could be electrical too but the above would be for the hardware malfunctions.
