I am hoping someone here can help me out. I have searched and can't find the answer even though I know I have seen it before.
I removed the pipe between the intercooler an turbo to make my deiselsite coolant filter easier to install. Now I can't find how much torque I am supposed to tighten the clamps to when I install it. I want to say it was something like 14ft/lbs but I'm not sure, and I know if I don't get it right the clamp can blow off and damage my hood. After paying $1000+ for my ram air hood I really don't want that to happen.
I took my pipe off to tape IC pipe for boost guage just tightened the clamps down good and tight been on for atleast a couple months never had a problem.
Thanks a lot maximum. Borrowed a digital torque wrench from my cousin this afternoon and tightened it back up. Hopefully it doesn't blow loose on my way home tomorrow
Too bad I didn't get the coolant filter completely installed, but that's a different story.
