Maybe the pulley marks arent supposed to be lined up with the weight mark? They're not lined up perfectly as is, but they are a long way from the front right (while sitting in truck) cylinder TDC.
Sorry, didnt see your post at first. TDC on the pulley/damper is not corresponding with TDC on #1. I did have the right cylinder. Are the pulley marks supposed to #1 TDC as well?
Took damper in to my parts guy today. He pointed out that the marks on the pulleys were not there from the factory. So, best I can figure is someone used a hacksaw or some such to cut marks in that line up with an inaccurate weight mark. My parts guy didnt seem to think it had slipped as the rubber wasnt pooched out and he recommended I just cut an accurate mark on the weight and put it back on....
I called John at Damper Doctor and he said those can weights can slip without showing much evidence and verified that he had not seen any of thse that came with marks on the pulleys. It makes sense looking at it now because the lines on the pulleys arent quite straight across, like someone used a hacksaw that wasnt quite perpendicular with the way the belt runs. John also told me where the mark should be with the woodruff key at 12:00....the TDC mark should be 108 degrees away. Mine is more like 180 degrees. So, Im going to go ahead and send it in....
